TARA 7S TOURNAMENT – FIRST TEST OF THE SEASON
The first test of the 2014 season, the Tara 7s tournament will be held in Greenford on 26 April. Last year this tournament was the start of a Green Isle’s most successful season season. We slogged out a full day of matches only to be pipped at the post in the final by the tournament hosts Tara. But it was a great test of our metal and gave us the fire to march on confidently to bigger competitions later in the season.
15th Feb 2014 – Mr& Mrs Competition
After the wildly successful Take Me Out fundraiser in 2012, the ladies from Green Isle Camogie and Dulwich Harps Gaelic Football teams joined forces for a Mr&Mrs Competition on 15th Feb 2014 (The Five Bells, New Cross) as a fundraiser and a bit of cráic..and sure maybe a spot of match making too!
The willing panel of lovely ladies and lucky lads put on a great show for everyone. The night was a wonderful success with in excess of £600 raised in aid of both clubs.
5th Feb 2014, Wed- Green Isle AGM
On Wednesday 5th Feb 2014 (The Blythe Hill Tavern, Catford) the Green Isle Camogie Club Annual General Meeting will be held. There will be the usual roller-coaster of activities including the much anticipated treasurer’s report and the election of this year’s committee. Not forgetting what will no doubt be a tear jerking speech from our illustrious chairperson. A night not to be missed! It’s a great opportunity to catch up indoors before we are all freezing in a field in a few weeks time. Hope you can all make it. Meeting starts at 8pm SHARP.
